    Selvagrossa "Gíoacchíno" Vermouth Rosso

Vermouth fans - get ready for something special. The first release ever of "Gió" has arrived! As many of you know we are huge fans of Selvagrossa, a winery located on the outskirts of Pesaro in the Marche region of Italy. Alberto Taddei is making incredible wine from his small family winery. Alberto has a few tricks up his sleeve, and this year he produced a special red vermouth that is about as delicious as it gets. While this is red vermouth, it is actually made from a blend of Trebbiano, a white grape varietal, and Sangiovese, the classic red grape of Central Italy. Another secret to the recipe is the inclusion of elderflower, which is very typically grown in the area. Alberto had help from the two ultra-talented young ladies behind Distilleria Magnoberta. They help blend the wine with the spirit, secret recipe of roots, and elderflower. Named after Gioacchini Rossini, the famous Italian composer, who is from Pesaro. He's kind of the Michael Jordan of the Marche. Great on its own, as a spritz, or play around with it in your favorite cocktail that calls for red vermouth. Bravo Alberto!
