Champagne
The Coutier family has been in the grand cru village of Ambonnay since 1619, and the fifth-generation vigneron Antoine Coutier currently is in charge. Coutier has nine hectares of vineyards, with about one-third planted to Chardonnay and two-thirds to Pinot Noir. In 1948, Antoine Coutier’s grandfather became the first vigneron in Ambonnay to plant Chardonnay in the village. The estate’s vineyards consist of 40 different plots located exclusively in Ambonnay, with an average vine age of 38 years. The Coutiers began farming organically in 2019. Coutier's wines are characterized by richness and freshness.
This rosé is composed of about 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, all estate fruit from Ambonnay, in the Montagne de Reims region. Vinified in stainless steel and barrel. 100% malolactic fermentation. Disgorged June 2023. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Perfect as an aperitif or served with lighter dishes.
