Palenqueros, Valente Garcia Mezcal

Palenqueros is a project created as a range of Mezcal to showcase the producers and distillers of single palenques as the protagonist of production. Each Palenques adheres to specific protocol to preserve the vitality of the agave and terroir, essentially creating a relatively small preservation society for estate driven Mezcal producers. Valente Garcia's is a blend of both cultivated and wild agave: Espadin, Mexicano and Bicuische, from the high-elevated village of La Pila in Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. The Mezcal is still proof. Garcia is fourth generation, and the experience shows. This bottling shows wild complexity of white pepper, bright, tropical fruit and smoke.
