New Zealand Tasting

We admit our tendency to focus on European wines here at Perman Wine Selections. Yet our noses and palates lead us to all great wines of the world.

New Zealand is a relative newcomer to the world of wine. The explosion of vineyards and wineries took place in the 1980s and continued throughout the 1990s a beyond. The world knows New Zealand for Sauvignon Blanc, and, while it is arguably the most important variety, Pinot Noir production has exploded and gained notoriety, particularly in Central Otago on the South Island. 

Sauvignon and Pinot will prominently be featured in this tasting, but so too will varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet, and Chenin Blanc.
