From Rueda, Spain, MicroBio focuses on the preservation of Verdejo that escaped phylloxera due to the sandy soils it was originally planted on. The vines have been farmed organically ever since and they show abundant vitality. It is their mission to showcase the versatility of the vinification of Verdejo. So while this is a rosado, the wine is actually primarily Verdejo (white), blended with a touch of Tempranillo (red). If you close your eyes you could probably convince yourself that you are drinking a white wine! On the palate one tastes delicate white flowers, ripe red fruits and fresh stone fruits as well.
