Champagne
A relatively new addition to the Laherte Frères portfolio, the Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature was first introduced in 2022, offering a fascinating counterpart to the estate's Blanc de Blancs. The wine is an equal blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, sourced from vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne and the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay. The Pinot Noir comes from Le Breuil in the Marne Valley, while the Meunier is sourced from Chavot and Moussy, close to the family's home village. Approximately 50% of the blend consists of reserve wines from previous vintages, aged in oak barrels on their lees. Fermentation takes place in a combination of barrels and small foudres, followed by malolactic fermentation. Disgorged in March 2026, the wine is finished without dosage. While the Blanc de Blancs emphasizes the mineral precision and energy of Chardonnay, the Blanc de Noirs offers a different expression of the Laherte style, combining the generous fruit of Meunier with the structure and depth of Pinot Noir. There is a wonderful interplay between richness, freshness and chalky minerality, all held together by the impeccable balance that has become Aurélien's signature.
