Kawatsuru "Crane of Paradise" Junmai (720ml)

Easily Craig's favorite visit of his February trip to Japan, Kawatsuru is a magical brewery, located in Kagawa, the smallest prefecture in Japan. Kawahito-san is a fantastic brewer, making a dizzying array of great Sake. "Crane of Paradise" is such a great Sake, that combines the best of all worlds, a balance of sweet, dry and umami notes. The nose has tropical pineapple skin aromas. The palate, has sweet melon notes up front, medium weight, and spice notes on the finish. Craig had this in Japan with essentially the Takamatsu equivalent of chicken wings. Such a good combo!
