Domaine Tempier "Lulu & Lucien" Bandol Rouge '22

Few domaines are as synonymous with their appellation as Domaine Tempier is with Bandol. For decades, Lulu Peyraud and her husband, Lucien, set the gold standard, crafting wines that capture the Mediterranean’s sunlit beauty and deep, ageworthy complexity. 

Named in honor of the founders, this is a pure expression of Mourvèdre’s depth and elegance. The 2022 vintage is generous yet balanced, with aromas of black cherry, plum, garrigue, and savory spice. Silky tannins carry through to a long, resonant finish. We were shocked when we recently tasted this, as it is one of the most approachable young red wines we have tasted from Tempier. You can open and drink this wine now, it will also age gracefully in bottle of the next 5 to 8 years. Break out the grill and pair with rack of lamb.
