Domaine de Vernus Moulin-à-Vent “Les Vérillats” '20
Moulin-à-Vent has a long history, with highly sought after fruit. From the best vineyards you have the ability to make rich, structured and long aging wines. Domaine de Vernus was created in 2019, a partnership between Frédéric Jametton and Guillaume Rouget, the latter being one of the most famous producers in Burgundy. They own 12 hectares of vineyards, spread through various Crus. This bottle, one of the very best of the domaine, comes from the "Les Vérillats" parcel in Moulin-à-Vent. 28 year-old vines, planted on pure granite. This vineyard produces very small berries with great concentration and complexity. It displays beautiful but intense, blue and black fruit, rich texture, with medium tannins, and hints of oak spice. Buy some, cellar it, and you will be greatly rewarded. Drink between now-2035.
