Devevey Volnay '20

Jean-Yves Devevey is making some of the most delicious, naturally-produced white and red wines in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune of Burgundy. He has dedicated himself to working without any chemicals in the vineyard. In the cellar, he is looking for purity, not extraction. Natural yeast is used, no new barrels.

His Volnay is a true expression of the village: elegant, red-fruit scented Pinot Noir. Like most great Volnay, it is only helped by some time in the cellar to soften its tannins and allow for more aromatic complexity. With proper time, this will be a stunningly elegant, expressive Pinot. Drink now - 2032.
