2023 Domaine Charvin Châteauneuf-du-Pape comes from one of the appellation’s most traditional family estates, now led by Laurent Charvin, who has farmed organically for decades and remains committed to classic methods in both vineyard and cellar. The vines average 40–50 years of age, rooted in sandy soils and galets roulés across multiple parcels in the northern sector of the appellation. The wine is predominantly Grenache, fermented with a high proportion of whole clusters, aged in concrete vats rather than oak, and bottled without filtration. Charvin’s approach emphasizes transparency of site and vintage over extraction or embellishment, producing a Châteauneuf defined by purity, structure, and longevity rather than weight.
