Sicily
Cantina Marilina is about 45 kilometers south of Syracuse, Sicily, and run by the sisters Marilina and Federica Paternò. Their have farmed their vineyard organically since its establishment in 2001.
This orange wine is made from Grecanico Dorato (a biotyped of Garganega) that was organically farmed and manually harvested. Fermentation was carried out with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, and on the skins to impart color and texture. The wine was aged for six months in concrete tanks, then three months in bottle. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
