Burgundy
Based in Marsannay-la-Côte at the northern edge of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Bruno Clair is a benchmark, family-run Burgundy estate (farming in the region since the 19th century) that today totals about 27 hectares across 8 villages.
“La Charme Aux Prêtres” Marsannay Rouge 2023 comes from a 0.77 ha parcel high on the slope (around 300m, southeast exposure) on clay-limestone soils over Comblanchien limestone and marl. In the cellar it’s 30–50% whole cluster, with 10–15 days of maceration in wooden vats, then a long élevage of 18–20 months in barrel with about 20% new oak—a serious, structured Marsannay that’s built more like a “mini Côte de Nuits” than an entry-level Burgundy.
