Barbeito Verdelho Vinho Branco Reserva '20

Everyone knows the island of Madeira for their amazing fortified wines. As the most progressive and outstanding producer on the island, Barbeito is producing a very small and limited range of white wines that rank amongst the best and most interesting white wines of Portugal. Verdelho was the first grape highlighted for the still wines at Barbeito, and this bottling is their exceptional Reserva. It is composed of around 90% Verdelho, with some Sercial. Cold macerated, pressed and fermented in tank, this spend 1 year in a combination of French and Hungarian oak. Textural, with citrus and tropical fruit notes, it is a magical wine when paired with seafood. To drink now, or hold for a few years. Less than 1000 bottles produced.
