Barbeito Branco de Laje Sercial '23

If you really want to "out geek" everyone in your wine life, here is a true rarity. This white wine is made from 100% Sercial grown in the Água d'Alto vineyard located on the slope of São Vicente. This vineyard overlooks the sea, a truly spectacular location. Aged in old French oak barrels, this shows the freshness of Sercial, but yet it is so complex with hints at peach, green pineapple, and an impression of saline. Just 448 bottles produced. We didn't taste this at our tasting, but anyone looking to try something truly different from Portugal need to look no further.
