Domaine Agrapart & Fils is a benchmark, grower-producer estate based in Avize (Grand Cru), Côte des Blancs, farming roughly 12 hectares of predominantly Chardonnay across top Grand Cru villages including Avize and Cramant (with additional holdings in villages like Oger and Oiry). The farming is sustainable and organic-minded, with an emphasis on living soils (ploughing, compost, and low-intervention viticulture), and the wines are made estate-grown—no purchased fruit.
Grand Cru “Minéral” Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2018 is a single-vintage Chardonnay drawn from two of Agrapart’s chalkiest, most mineral sites: Les Champboutons (Avize) and Les Bionnes (Cramant), prized for their shallow, pure chalk soils and old vines. Vinification is split by parcel—tank for Champboutons, and neutral 600L barrel for Bionnes—then blended and bottled as Extra Brut with a low dosage (around 3 g/L). This is one of the house’s most terroir-transparent wines: focused, chalk-driven Blanc de Blancs built for precision and long aging.
