California
A Tribute to Grace is named for the winemaker Angela Osborne’s grandmother, as well as one of the attributes she most esteems, and is one of the projects she has devoted herself to since becoming part of the wine industry. Angela studied film in New Zealand, her native country, and worked at a wine shop to pay the bills. While she enjoyed wine, it was not her passion at the time. She was intending to pursue a film career when a friend who was a winemaker found her a harvest job and convinced her to move to California to take it. Once there, she discovered Grenache and became fascinated with the grape, which later became the focus of her winemaking and her pursuit of allowing the land to shine through its complex flavors.
Angela’s search for graceful Grenache has led her to vineyards from Santa Barbara to the Sierra Foothills. A Tribute to Grace is made from sustainably farmed grapes with an eye toward biodynamics. Angela’s mindfulness is also reflected in her careful handling of wine and her sustainable winemaking practices.
This is the thirteenth vintage of A Tribute to Grace’s rosé wine, made from the grenache variety. A portion of the wine underwent full skin fermentation, and the rest was tread by foot on the day of harvest, an annual labor of love. After fermentation, the wine aged on the lees in stainless steel, and then bottled in December 2024.
Inspired by a dry French-style rosé, this is a light, crisp, refreshing wine, with bright fruity and floral flavors, from strawberry, watermelon, peach, and mandarin, to verbena, cinnamon, rose petal, and wet stone.
Excellent served as an aperitif or with dishes that offer bright, fresh flavors and ingredients—seafood, salads, and Mediterranean dishes, as well as lightly grilled foods and even spicy cuisines.
