    Vinha do Mouro Branco '18

Last month with introduced the "everyday" red wine from Alentejo superstar, Quinta do Mouro. This month, we are featuring their delicious and refreshing white wine. As a reminder, Quinta do Mouro is the icon of Alentejo. Located in Estremoz, Miguel Louro works with 33 hectares of vines, planted to different varietals and spread among several parcels. The wines of Estremoz, in the talented hands of Louro, walk that fine line. These are wines of power, but with the freshness that Estremoz can bring. They are true Alentejo wines. Mouro makes a huge range of wines. Many of the top wines are priced as world-class wines, which they are. So it is really a treat to be able to show you a glimpse of what Quinta do Mouro can do at a great price point. Vinha do Mouro Branco is a blend of nearly equal parts of Antão Vaz, Arinto and Verdelho. After a short time on its skins, the wine is fermented in stainless steel vats. It sits on its lees fro a few months before being bottled. The newly released 2018 has incredible vibrancy. Beautiful aromas of citrus peel, mineral and flowers. On the palate, it does have some weight, but ultimate its best feature is that vibrant acidity and bone dry finish. It is a perfect foil for the warm days of summer!
