    Marthe Henry Boillot Pommard '20

    Marthe Henry Boillot Pommard '20

Marthe Henry Boillot worked as a journalist in Paris before returning to her family in Meursault and establishing her own wine label in 2013. She produced her first vintage in 2017, totaling about 12 barrels. Marthe worked at Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard as she studied winemaking.

Marthe’s grandfather Pierre Boillot, a well-known winemaker in Meursault since the 1940s, left behind a 2.5-hectare estate when he died, in 2004. While Marthe had been making wine with grapes sourced from neighbors and friends, she has been able to use fruit from the estate since 2023.

The Pommard is made with whole-cluster fruit. The wines spend up to 18 months in barrel, and small amounts of sulfur are added only at bottling as needed.
