Les Terres Blanches "Les 3 Poiriers" Anjou Blanc '21

Les Terres Blanches has been the project of Benoit and Céline Blet since 2004, when they took over the small estate in the village of Oiron, in Deux-Sèvres. They began farming organically in 2010 and take a low-intervention approach to making wines. They work with the varieties Chenin Blanc, Gamay, and Cabernet Franc, grown on terroirs of limestone marls, quartz, and sandstone.

“Les Trois Poiriers” is made from Chenin Blanc vines with an average age of 25 years. The wine is fermented spontaneously and vinified in used barrels, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. Its elevated acidity and notes of fresh lemon and minerality pair well with soft, fresh cheeses; seafood, especially crab or lobster; and cream-based dishes.
