Alberto Graci is another of Etna's most important winemakers. He previously worked in Milan, and he left his professional life to move to Sicily, where his grandfather owned vineyards in the center of the island. Alberto sold those vines and purchased vineyards in Etna in 2004. While Graci started off simply, today he makes severe lines. I think Arcurìa is the one to really know from Graci. It is a contrada located just across the street from the winery and is rich in volcanic limestone and iron. Everything is fermented in concrete and aged in large chestnut barrels. A baby, it is absolutely delicious now, but it's worth cellaring some bottles for a few years.
