Cigliuti Barbaresco "Vie Erte" '15

The key to any great producer are their vineyards, and Cigliuti which is located in Neive in the Barbaresco DOCG zone, happens to farm two of the very best Cru's, Bricco di Neive and Serraboella. Claudia's hard work in the vineyard and her sister Sivia's hard work in the cellar help produce classically styled wines, with great drinkability and for the Barbaresco, great aging potential. The Vie Erte vineyard selection really touches about the drinkability factor. Vie Erte sees more sandy soils, that allow the fruit to stay fresh and plush, which contributes to a slightly softer structure. Don't get us wrong, this is still Nebbiolo, and will still be highly structured, but in comparison to some, with some decanting, this will be drinking wonderfully right now!
