Château Thivin Brouilly “Reverdon” '21
Brouilly is the biggest Cru in Beaujolais, and as such has many different soil types on its surface. Château Thivin is a benchmark producer, maybe more noted for their Côte de Brouilly. The estate was purchased in 1877 by the Geoffray family, who still runs it today. This wine comes from the Reversion sector of Brouilly, 45 year old vines on pink granite and sand. Whole cluster, and aged in concrete tank for 8 months. This definitely needed a decant, but has beautiful red fruit underneath. It will develop nicely with further time in bottle.
