The estate is located in Sannio, a rural part of Campania northeast of Naples, where Alexia farms 12 hectares of vineyards and five hectares of olive groves using organic methods. Her vineyards are planted entirely to indigenous Campanian varieties, including Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, Sciascinoso, and Aglianico.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“Brizio” is made from 100% Aglianico grown in a sandy vineyard in the town of Solopaca, approximately 100 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand in late September and carefully selected before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is then aged for eight months in stainless steel, followed by at least three months in bottle. No oak is used, allowing the fresh character of the fruit to take center stage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a remarkably approachable expression of Aglianico, with aromas of violets, ripe cherries, and plums. The palate is juicy and fresh, with soft tannins and enough acidity to keep everything lively. Only around 4,000 bottles are produced annually.
