    Camille Mélinand Chrioubles '19

    Beaujolais

    Camille Mélinand Chrioubles '19

This is a young producer to really watch out for. Camille is from a family of winegrowers in Flerurie. His parents own Domaine des Marinas in Fleurie, where his brother and him both work. He vinifies small amounts of both Chirobules and Fleurie at their cellar. This wine from Chirobules comes from a lieu-dit called Tempéré, at 400 meters of elevation, and on a very steep south-facing slope. The vines are 50 years-old, and are very low yielding. Whole-cluster carbonic maceration, fermented in tank, but aged in foudre. Dark fruit, intense mineral notes, rich and savory Beaujolais!
