Barbeito Madeira "Vinha do Agostinho - Single Cask 13E" Verdelho '07 (500ml)

"To produce quality Madeira wine in limited quantities. After 75 years I still follow this idea of my grandfather Mario respecting our history, without ever giving up intuition and innovation. After a few years since the last Verdelho single cask bottling, I have now chosen a wine from the year 2007. This colheita was produced exclusively with grapes from the same vineyard as the other three (1996, 2000 and 2006). It is a small vineyard currently owned by the family of Mr. Agostinho Andrade Junior with whom I established a very special relationship since I met him in 1994. The fact that the grapes come from the north coast of the island, in São Vicente, contributed decisively to the great acidity of this wine that almost dissipates the concentration obtained by the traditional canteiro ageing process. In February, 2023, 924 bottles of 500ml were filled, all individually numbered."
